Smart meters could help you to find ways to reduce energy waste around your home and save money.*

The in-home display shows you the amount of energy being used in pounds and pence, in near-real time. This allows you to keep a closer eye on your energy spending habits.

When you know how much energy you’re using – and how much it’s costing you - it can be easier to take control of your budget.

For example, you might spot that (on) your in-home display (that your) spend level increases when you turn on the kettle. You could then get into the habit of only filling up the kettle with the water you need, so you aren’t wasting energy boiling water you don’t need.

But make sure you’re still using the electricity and gas you need in your home. It’s important that you use the energy you need to keep warm, safe and healthy at home.
