Module 3: Winter energy support and advice for constituents Westminster drop-in

We hosted MPs and staffers from across Great Britain at our Westminster Winter energy support and advice for constituents drop-in in January, where they received practical advice and resources from Smart Energy GB and partner organisations on energy-related concerns this winter.

Smart Energy GB developed our Debt Guide: Advice if you’re worried about higher energy bills to support people with energy bills or debt, providing them information on support and signposting them to other help that’s available, including:

Government help with energy bills: what government energy support is available, and how to access it

Energy supplier help: how to contact your energy supplier if you can’t pay your
energy bills

Energy efficiency advice: including accessing extra support, and how to get help with stress and anxiety around energy bills

You can download our Debt Guide in either English or Welsh below.

We were joined by charities Citizens Advice, National Energy Action, the Energy Saving Trust and the Money Advice Trust who provided expert advice to Parliamentarians and signposted them to resources for constituents struggling this winter.

Smart Energy GB’s community partners Professional Darts Championship in the Community and English Football League in the Community who shared how their charitable arms support their communities year-round.
